QCS has developed many PCB's for custom and very specific
purposes. For testing the navigation and weapons delivery computers in avionics systems,
all the inputs to and outputs form the computers have to be stimulated and measured with
high precision. For these requirements QCS has designed boards such as mixed analog to
digital and digital to analog converter boards, synchro/resolver to digital and digital to
synchro/resolver converter boards. QCS has designed discrete input and output boards for
TTL, CMOS, and other voltage levels such as the Avionics Discrete 28VDC which are first
converted to TTL level before being placed on the PCB bus. QCS has designed dedicated
microcontroller boards for controlling eddy current and ultrasonic probe manipulators,
data acquisition systems, display drivers, front panel interfaces, and instrumentation
control.QCS has also provided the service of reverse engineering obsoleted components, printed circuit boards, and complete systems. Reverse engineering systems and components provides a solution for not having to buy new capital equipment. Many times equipment works fine but the original manufacturer has gone out of business or simply does not support the equipment. One such system was the EDM system owned by one of our customers for which they could not get PCBs any more. We provided them with complete sets of new boards, fully adjusted and ready for installation into their system. Their system was used for another 2-3 years before it was finally mothballed, saving them millions of dollars. |
